Which Breath for Seliph?
Answers
People seem to forget how Divine Tyrfing and Deflect Magic work in tandem. With Distant Counter, Seliph is arguably worse as a mage counter if he did pack it compared to a breath skill, since it means Deflect Magic not only doesn't activate, but his damage output is worsened. With this in mind, the damage reduction from both Tyrfing and the seal is enough that he can safely tank at least 2 hits from even blue mages, barring those with TA. And no, Reinhardt's speed is atrocious enough that he won't double even a speed bane Seliph.
All it takes for Seliph is Warding Breath, Deflect Magic, Divine Tyrfing and Ignis. A +Def Seliph will have a massive boost in Ignis damage, which is guaranteed to murder quite a large number of enemies.

Go with Steady Breath, Divine tyfing and Deflect Magic already make Seliph immune to any sort of magic users, warding breath just makes his res overkill, while steady breath allows him to safely bait units like bow Lyn and hard counter them with ignis. (My Seliph can't get 1OHKO under normal circumstances, as long as it isn't a TA Sword breaker Nowi you should be good for baiting)

A different bane would do him a lot of good. A res boon will let him tank mages easier and gives him a fighting chance against dragons. His speed is so low that it can be reduced without much repercussion since he is a pure enemy phase unit. A neutral defense stat will allow him to hit 34 defense on enemy phase with steady breath, letting him breathe a bit easier against fast, strong units.
