Team Composition

Good positioning, triangle advantage, and lots of self healing through renewal/sol/noontime/aether(especially with cd accelerators like steady breath and heavy blade). The other is blade tome/desperation combo to annihilate everything without getting hit, best paired with a wings healer.

It really depends on your team composition and how you use your units. There are some healers who can absolutely wreck teams if you're not conditioned to fight them. I remember one time I almost lost a fight because I had a hard time killing this Azama with Pain because he had so much defense. My Elise is +Atk and on a Cavalry Team she absolutely can wreck. Bride Lyn is also very good due to having Candlelight+ and Honed it's even better, with a dancer she's super good. But typically the best characters either having amazing offensive potential (Cordelia, Ayra, Reinhardt) or Defensive potential (Micaiah, Winter Tharja, Chrom) and can counter most units and most prevalent units also.

ive tried making teams like that before without healers but its always been difficult, like rn my team consist of brave lyn, W.Tharja, axzura or flyzura, and a horse healer, with this team its meant to handle dmg with W.tharja and set her as a block and put her in the direction of any heavy hitters like reinhardt and brave lyn, she'd pretty much take them out in the enemy phase or my next player phase, brave lyn pretty much takes on the same role but more on offense and to hit low def stat enemy

I run a healer on my team because I find Aether a long time to charge without an ability to decrease it and I was never fond of Sol or Noontime. There's renewal but I like to use that spot for a different ability. Healers do lower your arena score but I like to give them a niche. Like my Sakura for example heals the injured ally and in the next turn gets fortify buffs.

Healers have improved a lot with 2.0, but not so much so that you should use them over archers or mages.
If you want to get into tier20 and more importantly stay there, you can't use a healer.

You need to learn how to engage the enemy units and minimize the damage you take.
Most of the time your units will exchange 1 for 1 with the enemy, except on rare occasions like with a self healing tank, or a blade mage.
So once one of your units had taken out an enemy, they should stay back and support an ally instead of engaging in another combat.
