Those bundles..

Personally, I feel as though a lot of people are blowing this out of proportion. It's not that bad of a deal and here's why. I would rather spend money to get a guaranteed 5 star focus unit vs spending potentially $100+ and not get a single 5 star or even worse getting pitybroken by a bad unit I never even wanted. IS isn't forcing people to buy this, so I don't get why people are getting so worked up about this. Another problem I've noticed in this community since my return from a long hiatus is that there seems to be a hierarchy of people who condemn and look down on people for even spending a dime on the game like it somehow affects them what other people's personal choices are. They are very condescending and act like they are superior to people simply because they are f2p and that's just childish. The point is, it's not a bad deal imo and if you do spend, dont let other people bully you for your choice.

Everything you say is true, but lemme tell you why this is a bad thing:
1. Sure you don't need to buy them, but this just triggers people minds with problems like gambling addictions and such and can think "Well fuck I didn't get something out of my 30 €/$ that I spent, I could simple buy it for 75€/$" and trust me that's a BIG thing.
2. What I don't think but could happen is that when those Bundles get sold for good they might do this with future banners to which is bad to consider doing this with a legendary hero and how much this bundle might cost.
3. This bundle just shows that AR is basically fucked cause you can buy now extra shit instead of farming it which is pretty bad (atleast I think that).
4. Given that new players could come to the game and insteadly buy one of those bundle thinking that they new somw of this could probably get on somw people given that children play this game too.

This new bundle thing is probably one of the worst things I could imagine happening right now. "But Lain, BK hot sold as a bundle too." Yeah for 20€/$ and wasn't a gamebreaking unit (not saying that those are gamebreaking what so ever).

That's all just my opinion though.

You make good points however what we need to remember is that this is a gacha game and so money is kind of a main factor in these types of games. Why do you think people throw out the phrase "pay to win" because it's part of the business model. I'm not saying you have to but dont be surprised if some people do it. If it isn't these bundles then it will always be something else regardless. Paying for benefits have always been a part of these kinds of games, FE heroes isn't the first and it wont be the last. Honestly the only real solution is dont play the game because they are just going to keep on doing what they want anyways. It sucks but there isn't any other option. Even if the game dies, they already made their money and since fire emblem is such a lovable and classic series it will always continue to sell in other ways. So no matter what you and I as fans will be spending some type of money in SOME way eventually if we still want to play any type of fire emblem in the future. They are a business after all, not everything can be free.

The incoming bundles in particular aren't a problem, since neither Fjorm or Laevatein are gamebreaking units, but imagine they do the same later with some unit in the same tier as Surtr? It isn't really bad at the moment, but it's a bad precedent for the game. And yeah, you're right about spending being each own decision, but you should consider which business practices are good to support and which aren't- if they alienate the f2p playerbase too much, they'll leave. (I want to believe that I don't need to explain that the f2p playerbase is essentially "content" for the players who actually spend money, and part of the ecosystem of the game. If the game becomes unfair and they leave, the game will die)

I'll be buying both bundles, even if they're 75$ each. I'll be sending the money on orbs eventually and L!Tiki is coming at the end of that month(I think). You get two seasonal 5*s and a bunch of Aether Stones and Grails. I'll definitely use the Stones to keep myself high in the ranks while the Grails are a added bonus.

It's a bit scummy to add Aether Stones as they're a limited resource for AR, but when I was already going to buy the bundle without it and I'm already planning on staying as close to the 3k margin in AR, I don't care. I actually benefit from it because not everyone is going to buy these bundles, which again, is incredibly scummy.
