Isn't joint hone spd a bad skill?

It's not bad, it has its own place in the ecosystem. You got four infantry you wanna use to clear an infantry only quest? Bam, everything can get buffed every turn if they adjacent, including the user, without relying on turn numbers.

Its not better or worse, just different.

Now that you say it I guess it must have its place, yes. Such an expensive skill though, and we can get the job done easily enough without it. I'm not saying it's a bad skill because I think it takes the best of spd wave and hone spd and combines them, but I don't think it affects outcomes enough to merit 100-ish orbs

A lot of these buffs basically just do the same thing. Itds used as a wave that works on every turn. If anything Hone Atk 4 is shitty, except for the fact it combos with Azura

Ardent Service units would definitely love that. Groom Marth, get the Drive Atk seal.

Im not sure bad is the rigth word for it.
First, it's a 4th level skill, ship comparing it to 3rd level skills seems incorrect, and since it's a C slot, comparing it to an A slot like double fortress also seems like it's just not precise.

Report

If 4* available lvl 3 skills can compare to it, I would say it's already pretty questionable because it costs so much more.

Maybe you have a point about the A-slots, but when we're forced to decide between pulling for one or the other, a preference needs to be expressed.

I guess theres that too, but A slots have a different value in my mind since close/distant counter exist.
I suppose the fact that a 4th rank skill can be compared to a 3rd rank one doesn't speak so well of the new hone tho, you are rigth about that.

IMO it's a very strong skill for a few niche situations. The first that comes to mind is the combo with L!Azura and a bladetome. With this you get a new ceiling of total 34 dmg added to bladetome attacks, along with +7 to all stats

Edit: Nvm I was thinking about hone speed 4
