Honestly as long as you have a healer, a mage, and a unit with reposition you can be able to beat him without taking the “completely balanced” -20HP, -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res, and without him gaining the +4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res.

The trouble is, your approach works in a vaccum, but then you throw in things like a dancer, Eir with guidance, Surtr with boots, and suddenly that 10+ Surtr is jumping over mountains.

Well usually I take out all the other units before Surtr unless I have an opertunity to defeat him a turn before that (I always use a fully summoner supported +10 sword unit with high speed and Atk so it happens occasionally) and after all/most are defeated it’s easier to take him down because boots only work at 100% HP and if your healer has pain and one other unit has triangle advantage with high Atk or effective against armored then you SHOULD be able to defeat him in 1 to 2 turns

You can use 3/4 star available units. I have a Roy +10 that can bait him in even with his buffs. Also I just started merging a Lilina, who destroys him with her refined wep. I am not a whale but have been playing since launch week.

Weird. I'm at 6900 lift, and my axebreaker Aversa doesn't have trouble with Surtrs. Maybe your Surtrs are getting buffed and you don't have the bonus building? I usually save Surtr for last.

At +10, Surtr's resistance is MASSIVE, especially after the season bonus and bonus unit bonuses are applied.

At 55 resistance, BEFORE accounting for his Distant Def 3 seal, he has more resistance than my Aversa has attack (52).

4*+10 lilina +eff forged, with triangle adept and an attack boost from party works well, but if he has resistance help I use a dazzling pain chipper lucius /dancer to weaken them all first.

When his bonus unit honeymoon is over he'll be more manageable. I have an unmerged Surtr that I've used and the guy is simply ridiculous. I tanked a +24 buffed WT Olwen after getting hit by hone cavalry Veronica, all without debuffing either of them. There's no way that should be possible, but bonus unit stats break things.

Never had any trouble with him really. Try giving aversa moonbow or luna

sanaki with TA is pretty good agaisnt him. Dancer micaiah and Caeda are also really good.

I just watched my defense team blow up a +10 Surtr, along with the rest of his team. Wow I bet that dudes mad as hell. Funny enough, I do run a summer mica, but she wasnt the one who got him, Ophelia did with her pre-loaded aoe special xD
