What would be good B and C skills for a triple Brazen Alfonse?

B could be quick riposte (to have better enemy phase) or guard to avoid enemies which double him to charge specials fast

C depends of the team but you could give him a wave type skill or a smoke skill (spd or atk smoke) to help his tanking

Report

Quick Riposte is probably not a good pick with Alfonse. In order to deal proper damage, he needs to be in brazen range below 80% HP, while QR requires him to be above 70%, leaving him to only really be effective in the 70%-80% range.
Any one single attack will be very largely to knock him out of this 10% wide range, meaning that he can only really use this once, and that's assuming that the attack that knocks him into Brazen range doesn't overshoot these 10% to down below QR range.

Alphonse access is full potential under some threshold (brazen). So B skills that use this mechanic are great too : wrath, vantage.
For the C skill, you have to think about your special (def wave for bonfire for instance) or your team (tactic skill ? Smoke ? )

B:
1) skills that have synergy with brazen skills (and work with low HP):
- vantage - with over 70 attack you can kill greens before they can even attack you.
- wrath - good skill to help you oneshot people with your special. It is quite rare tho.
- brash assault. This is rare situation where this skill can work.

2) good, but dont have synergy:
- quick ripise work when brazen skills dont, ok at first combat
- swordbreaker - good on first combat. Bait sword user, kill him, get under 80% and activate brazen skills.
- guard - dont work with brazen skills (only over 80% hp)

3) other good (but mostly rare) skills
- chill atk/def - both good, give support to your team. Chill def you can inherit from F2P Walhart, and chill atk from Garnef
- atk/def link - good skill to buff your most important stats, but only Sumia and Laevatein have it.
- special spiral - get glimmer if you want better player phase, or leave bonfire to retaliate with special every combat (after first one). Great skill but you have to fodder Lewyn. You can get one in hero fest.

C) skill is flexible.
- hone/drive/spr skills if you dont want to spent much resources, and help your team.
- smoke/threaten atk if you want get tankier.
- add/ever atk/def wave if you want best skills.
- any tactic/infantry pulse/ close-distant guard it you want get realy premium
- savage blow/smoke def if you want to use vantage in B slot

I personally run Vantage since I want him at low health anyways, but if you have Wrath Fodder, that can also be really effective. With an atk refined Folkvángr and three Brazen Atk skills, that's 74 atk worth of vantage a melee attacker has to tank before they can hit him and that's before team support. With your setup, he could also get away with Brash Assault, since he won't take too much damage from the counter-attack.
His C-skill is very flexible. If you want to use Brash Assault, Atk Smoke is a good pick (Gharnef being some delightful new fodder for that), def smoke might sometimes be the difference between oneshotting and getting hit if you use vantage, but that skill is locked to spring Alfonse, so it's an expensive pick, so maybe just find a skill that grants good assistance to his ally support partner.

If it was me the B skill would be vantage or special spiral (since Lewyn is in the new "mystic banner")

C skill I'd say odd or even def wave which might stake with bonfire. Even is probably easier to get since it's given from Silas which can be gotten at 4star but unlocks at 5star.
Glimmer runs better with special spiral so his C skill can be changed to Atk wave. Luckily Lewyn also has Atk wave too. He's perfect fodder for both skills.
