What is there in FEH that makes you choose it over another game?

Edit: I kinda read the stuff wrong.. I'm not smart..
Redoing my comment

What I like his how much I can think of builds, and how the combat can accually be tough.
Unlike most mobile games, you can't just throw your strongest characters everywhere.
Feh is really rewarding by the amount of option there are for skills and teams, plus the level as to how much it matters.
You feel your work paying off.

Besides, Fire Emblem is for me my 1# nostalgic franchise. So that's a big factor.
(me playing Fate:GO also is mostly because I'm a fan)

A few things from me:
- I like the resource management aspect of it and the consultant-like perspective I develop
- It doesn't cost money, at least the way I play
- Strategically, it's more diverse than something like chess, allows me more creativity, and it also has more layers (ex: managing quantified resources)

Well for me it’s the little stories that IS puts in each character dialogue that makes me come back.
I, like many grew up with Fe so it’s pretty neat to continue their story in a mobile game
- i originally though Fe heroes would be a huge failure considering how Fe games were always on consoles but to my surprise it’s going strong.
- Community
Most of the feh you tubers are entertaining to watch and provide a nice commentary idk if you heard Linkking7 “Sigurd not hot” it’s pretty fire 🔥.
- Summoning
The personal connection is def what keeps me for the summoning if it was another Gacha game that just made the units look good I wouldn’t really care

-love strategy games. Lifelong obsession
-very low battery consumption
-few mobile games have good controls
-can play at own pace with zero stress
-dedicated community
-collecting.

Mine is not anywhere near that consumption speed. Also compare feh to any other popular mobile game. Feh doesn't even get my phone warm.

Edit: did quick 5 min test just out of curiosity, dropped 54 to 53 percent.

I've always been here for the characters. There are so many characters I love from all the games and it makes me beyond happy to get them in Heroes. I also enjoy building units.

It's fire emblem man, that little shop lady with a thousand alts.

That and it's much more forgiving when you're drunk than xcom or blackjack

My friend actually asked me this question when he heard me complaining about running out of orbs besides the daily orbs. I questioned myself and I tried starting another gacha game that my friend was playing. But slowly without me realizing it, I stopped playing the new game and went back to spending all my time on FEH. I realized that its probably that FEH gives you the ability to change the most parts in a hero. Other games just let you use certain weapons or armor and maybe a companion (I'm looking at you Dragalia Lost). FEH lets you choose a weapon, support skill, proc skill, and a bunch of other skills that can make combat completely different. Certain skills can make or break a character not because it makes them stronger, but because it changes the order of combat or it gets rid of their weakness all together. FEH lets you think about combat as a puzzle, not just a competition of power.

What makes me choose FEH over any other gacha/rpg games is how casual and yet complex it is.

Other games I played require huge amount of time each day just to grind enough of certain materials to get the new shinny item. I love that in FEH I can skip a day or two if I'm bussy with real life stuff and not get behind.

I also love how FEH doesn't require my full atention, and instead I can play while doing something else. I can even use autobattle for most stuff.

FEH does all that and at the same time it provides interesting challanges in GHB, LHB, BHB and sometimes AR. I can decide for myself, with relatively freedom, if I'm up for a challange or I just want to get distracted for a bit. I can't do that with other games, as there's always something to grind for a limited time, which stresses me out. I play games for fun. If I want to get stressed, work does that pretty easily.

Edit: And the cute sprites. How could I forget about those!!

I'm playing because it's Fire Emblem. I don't need any other reason.

That's exactly it. I'm not often spending an entire hour at a time playing Heroes. It's great because it's an FE game that has appeal points for casual and competitive, new and veteran players alike that doesn't require a ton of time in investment. It's easy to start and easy to get back to, with enough team flexibility to keep you thinking creatively and logically.

It's the most engaging yet also most afk friendly for me out of all of the other games that I play (and have slowly come to stop playing). I currently play Fate Grand/Order, Girls Frontline, Azure Lane, and Fire Emblem Heroes. GFL and AL have become boring to me, it's all grind and levels. I don't have the luxury of playing actual games often so FEH is pretty much what I have left available for quick plays. Sometimes I'm less active, some times I'm on it all day.

FEH Qualities I enjoy:
-The eventual joy of completing a +10 project
-Mixing it up and coming up with an effective team
-The general strategy based gameplay, no matter how tanky you are you still need to think for the more challenging content depending on your team.
