Year 1 units you don't want demoted.

The obvious ones are Hector and Takumi due to their skills (Close/Distant Counter). I think that’s it? Every one else can be demoted.

I know right, it’s ridiculous. I think this Counter skills are getting a bit more common then there was before. I don’t know why I think CC is Op. SS and QR and Spd/Atk Wave should be in the 4/5* pool.

From before 2.0...

Hm..

Lucina, Ryoma, Ephraim, Delthea... That's all I can think of at the moment.

Report

Yeah, I find that absurd as well. I think there’s a Fehtuber that Solos Abyssal maps with a +10 Setsuna with a BB, Luna and Flashing Blade build. Also accompanied by 3 WoM dancers.

that's hard to say, it really is. The majority of older units are easily overpowered by newer units unless given obscene levels of upgrades, so I find it hard to pick units I'd keep in that area.

If I had to pick at least 1, I guess I'd pick Hector. DC is generally more useful than CC (CC is really only good on units you invest into alot) and other units (Ryoma, basic Ike, etc) have meh fodder or are easily beaten out by their most recent alts.

There's nobody I don't want demoted. Like, it's extremely unlikely that Hector gets demoted but I wouldn't be complaining if he did. How can a unit becoming easier to get be bad for us who are trying to get them? It's only bad for IS because they make less money.

If demotions are going to happen, they better happen for everyone. If they demote units based on power or skills, then future stuff will be restricted because of that.

I want the devs to have complete freedom when designing units.

Genny. I don't want more wrathful dazzle running around all over the place. Horses are annoying enough as they are.

I honestly don't understand what would be so bad about useful skills like DC/CC being more accessible. Just so people who have them and have foddered for them can feel more elite and/or not feel like they've wasted a 5-star? Because if so, that's a pretty stupid reason.

Report

A few reasons...
- a disservice to people who save orbs to pull for Hector and his variants, especially if they stocked up. It's relatively easy to get individual units in green, so DC would start becoming relatively common. It would be an indicator that fodder loses value much faster than anyone ever previously thought, which means saving orbs for when appearance rate are good is worse of an idea, which takes a lot of the taste out of the game for disciplined players. If they're trying to turn the game into a dilute stupidfest for spenders, this would probably be a way to do it, because the availability of skills is a significant part of the meta.
- I don't want to watch bad players put DC on every single thing, especially those that aren't good with it.
