What is Summer Cordelia even good for?

If you've got 3 to go around then I don't think giving a copy of dull close to LA!Eliwood is a bad idea. Combos with his lance to dull all buffs. Then give him DC or Fort. Def/Res, and craft the lance for speed. I reckon he'd be a pretty solid mixed tank. In theory at least.

Shell Lance+ is pretty great, like an inverse Tannenboom+. Any of the mixed-bulk lance users quite like it. Donnel is a pretty good user, due to his villager BST and all-round stats. Also Cordelia, Oscar, Roderick, Shigure etc. Any of the more offensively oriented lancers.

Did you actually see her stats at level 40 before determining that she's not worth your time? From the looks of it, you would have tried to use her if she wasn't with bad IVs, but because she is you're not even giving her the time of day.

Her lance gives +2 to ALL stats on initiation, and, if I recall, she's one of the fastest cavaliers in the game...

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you really need to look at everything involved before making these decisions.

Very nice post, i loved how it didnt actually contribute to the discussion or even answering my question. I ACTUALLY did look into her as a unit before making "these decisions". In case my post didn't already specify, I didn't want her to begin with. I already have more than one lanced cavalier with good ivs, I don't need one that I have no interest in to begin with and with bad ivs. Just an fyi all three of my cordelias were either minus atk or spd and plus res. There is no good reason objectively speaking to use her unless you like her as a character, which seeing as how you took the time to make this post, im assuming you did lol.

Because a lot of people that come to Gamepress think that having a unit with bad IVs makes them useless, which I try to amend. Many people don't even look at the unit's overall stats before asking how to make their unit better, or if they should fodder them off. And, looking at your profile, you post quite a few questions simply pertaining to IVs.

No where in your post did you specify that you have better units, and sorry for not assuming that "not wanting her" translates to "I don't even want to look at her in my barracks".

I had a +Spd Summer Cordelia that I foddered to my Donnel. I don't hate her but she's not my favorite. With that said, just because I'm saying that she can still be a good unit I'm not saying that I actually like her, which I don't get why you came to that conclusion.

I took the time to post because I was trying to include my opinion on the matter, but, again, I'm sorry if me trying to be nice and get a better understanding of the situation was really such an issue for you, so much so that you tried pretty hard to include sass in your comment.

Sheesh.

I mean this is a Q&A after all. If you aren't contributing to asking/answering questions or even helping people in any way, why even bother to comment?? Your original post was basically aimed at making me feel bad for deciding not to use a unit. I would have been fine if you said all of that but at the very least include an answer to my question or some helpful feedback. Also re-read your post, no way was that "nice" but it was rather condescending and assuming, which already isn't helpful. Look at what others have written, they were actually nice and offered helpful feedback.

Again, many people post questions about units they think are trash because they have bad IVs. Someone not so long ago wanted to fodder a H!Myrrh simply because they had a speed boon.

Again, I was trying to get a better understanding of the situation. I don't have psychic powers so I don't know what units you have, what units you use on a regular basis, etc, so I chose to list the pros of keeping her rather than simply going with fodder choices because, again, I don't know the full situation.

My post was not aimed at making you feel bad, but if that's how I came across then I apologise. I was assuming because... Well I don't know everything that's happening. It's a Legendary banner so getting Cordelia when you wanted the other blue units is not uncommon, and many people have come here and said that they were gonna fodder someone simple BECAUSE that unit pity broke them on Legendary banners.

I mean, was this not you? Can you really blame me for assuming what i did?

"Bad Iv Hrid worth using or fodder?
Recently pulled a Hrid and was super excited until i saw he was minus atk and plus def... Sucks because he has a superboon in atk, should I even bother using him? How should I build him?"

Fair enough, your point is noted. Also to answer your previous question, I ask about IV's because I am trying to decide whether or not I will be using a unit and if I decide to not fodder them off, I need to find ways to effectively use them with what they got and gamepress guides don't always make builds with units with bad IV's for the unit. These decisions are based off what people will tell me as they may know something I don't or if a unit is worth the trouble. I hope that clears some things up. Next time don't assume the worst in people and try to contribute to things instead of attacking them.

Boi shell lance is good fodder and she's really good with firesweep lance. If you wanna keep shell lance, then you can give her L&D with a refined shell lance so she can tank a hit from almost anybody and go into desperation range.

Kind of an unorthodox build I came up with, and I'm not sure how much I like it. One'round galeforce every time as long as you can survive, and he does get up to 44 def, which might not be quite enough if he's taking two hits a turn. Note the +4 def from L.Ryoma's blessing.

Report

I didn't make it lol

It's an idea I came up with, and unit builders can give us an idea of what it might look like, but as I said I don't think 44 def is quite enough because he might take two hits a turn, and if the opponent has 50 atk (which isn't uncommon) that's 12 damage a turn which is more than twice as much as renewal can keep up with, not to mention if he gets into a scuffle with a manakete with this now-thin HP. If one turn is for attacking and the extra turn is to reposition someone then I think it should be decent, or if he's getting fortify/ward fliers then I think it's also doable.
